TOON stores three token ids per token in contract storage (SSTORE), and get() returns them: a WORD, a ChainFaces face and an RGB picture. The work is built from what those ids point at, all of it in the storage of those collections' contracts: the RGB pixel planes, the face text and its two colours, and the word. The original contract draws nothing and its tokenURI returns an empty string, so an external script is necessary to render the picture.

The same deployer wallet later deployed a separate TOONRender contract (October 2026), which the original contract does not reference. Its renderer is built into the contract: tokenSVG and tokenURI read the three ids from the original contract and the parts from the RGB and ChainFaces contracts, and return the picture as an SVG data URI, so the artwork is retroactively recoverable on chain.
