The Moon In Motion is a very special NFT. The art is completely on chain (no external links), yet every day it will be different.

The Moon shifts its phase like our Moon does.

Inspired by the Mutant Garden and the_coin, I wanted to create a 100% immutable token (no external assets, totally on chain) which could still mutate over time.

Each moon has a different amount of editions, based also on how rarely the given moon occurs. The Neon Moon is a unique piece.
- 2026-09-08: re-verified on chain, 3 stars stand (HANDBOOK 5.1). The contract is an ERC-1155 (uri(uint256), no tokenURI), which is why no live id could be proved by the ERC-721 ladder: the six editions are ids 1 to 6, minted to the deployer in the constructor, and uri(7) reverts out of bounds. uri(1) to uri(6) each return a data:text/plain JSON of 3,444 to 5,194 characters whose image field is the SVG itself, written by the contract from the current date (the moon's phase is computed from block.timestamp) with no reference outside the chain; the names are Moon (29 editions), Blood Moon (7), Honey Moon (14), Orange Moon (14), Blue Moon (3) and Neon Moon (1). balanceOf(deployer, 5) is still true. The image is inline SVG markup rather than a data URI, which some viewers will not show; that is the field's encoding, not the grade. Transcript in notes/.
